Stepantsminda (Kazbegi)​

Duration of a tour is 10-11 hours. During the tour we will visit Ananuri complex, ski resort-Gudauri. We will also visit Gergeti Holy Trinity Church and stunning Dariali gorge. We will also visit Gveleti waterfall in Darieali gorge. At the end of the tour we will visit Sno castle. During the tour we will have dinner in a  restaurant in Stepantsminda city and taste some delicious, traditional food and  wine.

Tour Description:

• The Tour starts at 10am. Visiting Ananuri fortress, which is a XVI century castle complex on the Aragvi River. Ananuri complex is one of the most important architectural monuments of the late middle ages.

• Visiting Gudauri resort– remarkable ski resort in Georgia.  Seeing the famous platform of Gudauri, from where we can see beautiful sight at Stepantsminda region and its mountainous massifs. 

• Visiting the monument that was devoted to “The Treaty of Georgievsk” made between Georgia and Russia. After seeing the monument we continue our trip to the direction of Stepantsminda.

• Having dinner in a restaurant in Stepantsminda, tasting some delicious, traditional food and wine. 

• After having a little rest we will we will continue our trip to the direction of Gergeti Trinity Cathedral and see it. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri at an elevation of 2200 meters, under Mount Kazbegi. There is a stunning view of Gergeti glacier and Mt. Kazbegi.

• Visiting Dariali gorge and  Michael and Gabriel Fathers monastery complex   (XXI ს).

• Visiting Gveleti waterfall, which is  located in the village of Gveleti, 7 km from the town of Stepantsminda. You must first drive through the stunning Dariali gorge, from which a short, leisurely hike up a narrow footpath leads the way to the Gveleti waterfall. 

• At the end of the tour we will visit Sno fortess (XVI century) and newly built church named after king Vakhtang Gorgasali in the village Sno.
