Mtskheta, Shiomghvime, Zedazeni Monesteries

Duration of the tour is 7-8 hours. The tour starts in Mtskheta. We will visit the unique church of the VI century- Jvari Monastery. In the fields of the tour we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Shiomghvime and Zedazeni Monasteries. We will have dinner in a restaurant of Mtskheta and taste some delicious, traditional food and wine.

Tour description:

• The tour starts at 10am. First visiting   Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta. (Jvari, which is in the list of inheritance of the world was builed in VI century. There is also a stunning view to Mtskheta from the entrance of the Monastery).

• Visiting Svetitskhoveli” (one of the largest historical church buildings among today’s survived ones in Georgia). We will also see the cathedral and the complex in the yard of “Svetitskhoveli”.

•   Having  dinner in Georgian restaurant, tasting Georgian, traditional food and having a little rest.

• After having a rest, we will go to visit Shiomghvime Monastery. (Shiomghvime Monastery Complex: II half of the VI century).

• At the end of the tour, we will visit Zedazeni Monastery.  (Zedazeni Monastery is a Georgian monastery, located on the Zedazeni mountain the hills of Saguramo, northeast to Mtskheta  and to the east side of the Aragvi River).
